About

I’ve been DJing for around 10 years now, starting out in Bangor, North Wales in 1998. I began by playing the back room of a night called ‘Freebass’, a popular drum and bass night held in a dingy part of the Bangor Student Union. I later moved on to play main sets at Racubah, Ba Da Boom, If You Can’t Beat ‘Em, Break ‘Em and eventually to play the back room at Future Funk in Amser / Time nightclub, playing hip hop, funk and soul.

Before leaving Bangor in 2002 to live in Manchester, I also teamed up with local DJ, Lounge Chameleon, to form ‘Bon Fromage’, playing lounge / easy listening sets at clubs, parties, film events and bars.

Since then I’ve played at clubs, venues and festivals throughout Manchester, the North West and North Wales, as well as playing at more house parties than you can shake a stick at!

Although I don’t DJ out as much as I used to, I’m still active in making mixtapes both on my own (mainly drum and bass) and also with old-time DJ partner, Jungle Jim (click here to visit our website, www.beffreyandjungle.co.uk).

I’ve also teamed up with old friend, Spunky D, over the past few years to write some songs. Check them out by clicking here.

The majority of my own mixes have been drum and bass, although I’ve started experimenting with video recently too.
